new attendance marking!

okay, as those who have been to band for the past few pracs would know, there is a new way of marking attendance. and THAT, will actually greatly affect yr overall attendance.

Late for fall in
Attendance is less than 70% of one band prac. eg. in a ten hour prac, you only come for 6 hours
Leave early for non-valid reason.

valid reasons are like doctor's appointment, but you HAVE to show the appointment card/mc. non-valid reasons are like waking up late/ tuition.

all these will be marked differently. then the attendance sheet is given to a teacher, and it is completely up to them if they want to give you attendance for that one day where you were say, late. this is agreed on by the teachers already.
even one minute late is considered LATE. so if you don't want your attendance to be at risk, just come a little earlier. of course there are like unforseen circumstances like you missed the bus and the next one didn't come, it was raining and you didn't have an umbrella, traffic jam, etc. BUT it's up to the leaders as to whether it will be marked or not. case by case basis.
personally, i'm not positive of ALL the details, so if you want, you can ask our bm jasmine yeah?

Well, i know i haven't been to 3 band practices, which accumulates to a total of 30 hours of band practices. But, that doesn't give some of you reason to be absent.
Jasmine and i went for camps - Valid reasons yeah?
No transport to school, definitely a big NONO.

Percussionists, i do hope to see some change in attitude.
If you do have a suitable reason for the absence, we would definitely excuse you from it. But, please do have some initiative. PATY. <3

in case you don't check band blog much but check here more,our prac days are the whole weekdays,
- Monday ( ensemble ) 9am to 12pm
- Tuesday ( ensemble ) 9am to 12pm
- Wednesday ( full band ) 8am to 6pm
- Thursday (Full band) 2pm to 6pm
- Friday ( Full band ) 8am to 6pm
i think pretty much the whole perc in included in this,no?

Please take note that Monday and Tuesday are only for ensemble groups.
Wednesday , Thursday and Friday would include the whole band.

SL's or ASL's, for Wednesday and Friday, make sure you take order from your section BEFORE FALL IN, you can also collate the orders by phone or emails, for those whom are not ordering, please make sure they bring their own food(except for those that are fasting!) . As for Muslim's, please just make sure they are well, and take care of them.(this sounds kinda wierd.means non muslims don't need t be taken care of alr)
As for Thursday, make sure they've eaten before coming, as lunch will not be provided.
Food to be ordered : 1 small fries , double cheese burger/McChicken . ( $3.50 in total )

HEY HEY!

First, i would like to comment Alicia and Sushan for their effort and brilliant idea of our very own blog and the FANTABULOUS wallpaper and everything! (=

Secondly, I want to thank all of you for coming for the exchange programme on monday 160309 and for not backing out at the last minute i really appreciate that. I know this is draggy and all but bear with me k? Through this exchange programme with ACS(B),Damai and Kent ridge, I personally feel that I could further improve my playing skills and not to just stop where I am , its like to have a paradigm shift that my playing is good enough cos these schools are like really good so can you imagine those better bands?

So, we must continue working hard as a SECTION, so that we will not regret when the results are out that we could have done better...We can have a start at it tomorrow during our sectionals from 1-2pm (=

Lastly, I know that you have plans and all for this 1 week holiday but please try to find some time to rest and refresh yourself for the new term ok?? Drink plenty of water, eat more fruits and sleep!
